Year 4 Hubbard Hills

  • February 25, 2026

Our Year 4 explorers had a fantastic day out at Hubbard’s Hills recently, putting their geography skills to the test in the great outdoors. The children demonstrated impressive precision as they navigated the rolling landscape using compasses, ensuring no one lost their way!

During the trip, we focused our studies on the River Ludd, specifically observing the features of its middle course. The students took the time to create detailed field sketches, capturing the movement of the water and the shape of the riverbanks. Beyond the art, they also became local experts, uncovering key facts about the Ludd’s history and its importance to the Louth landscape. It was a wonderful day of hands-on learning, and the children’s enthusiasm for the natural world was a joy to see.
