Our school celebrated the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a fantastic street party right here on the school grounds! Bunting and flags adorned the playground as we enjoyed party treats whilst listening to wartime songs. The children spent part of the afternoon learning why we celebrate VE Day in the present day and asked some fantastic questions. It was a wonderful way to learn about this important moment in history, remembering the end of the Second World War in Europe and the joy it brought, all while having a great time together as a school community.
